The one thing I’m questioning is the last photo, and I was wondering if would have been better to focus on the painting behind the lamps rather than on the lamps themselves, but I understand that lighting in cathedrals can sometimes be tricky. I really enjoyed the warm light throughout the pictures, and it made me think of a chapel I visited at Harper’s Ferry.Andrewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12541310078803099209noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-779964474397122560.post-61453602502999178582012-02-14T05:45:59.233-08:002012-02-14T05:45:59.233-08:00I was really excited to see that you did your proj...I was really excited to see that you did your project on this cathedral. I went there on All Saint's Day for mass and it was truly breathtaking to see all of the paintings and colors and richness of the service. I feel that technically, you really captured the colors and made the best of the little lighting that is in there. From a simple observer's point of view, I was glad to see that you captured the feel of the place. I think you chose the best shots to really give one a feel for what it's like in there.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17578521503505808197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-779964474397122560.post-73052715491416321162012-02-14T00:47:08.595-08:002012-02-14T00:47:08.595-08:00I really like how the curves contrast with the ver...I really like how the curves contrast with the vertical and horizontal lines in the first photo. The lines and symmetry in the second photo are also great, as is the touch of white from the books. Throughout the entire essay, I feel that the use of lines makes each photo very captivating.Josh Thompsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07368816645572299768noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-779964474397122560.post-57164421259839584312012-02-13T23:07:12.088-08:002012-02-13T23:07:12.088-08:00All the colors and the lines really go well with e...All the colors and the lines really go well with each other. I like the clarity and the vibrance found within these photos. Even though I think that the first picture is really strong I might put the pews as my first image just to establish the essay as a whole. I really like the usage of Augé within your text and think it goes well with this essay and esp. with this class. Overall very good idea and execution.Roseshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06439828882386296983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-779964474397122560.post-78957694770785107012012-02-08T19:14:43.888-08:002012-02-08T19:14:43.888-08:00I really enjoyed this essay mostly because I love ...I really enjoyed this essay mostly because I love cathedral architecture. This one has elements of German in the first photo, Spanish in the fourth, Italianesque marble in the third, and the benches make me think of some I've seen in pictures of English churches. As far as the pictures themselves, the angles really interested me.Neilhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02845319480081887826noreply@blogger.com
