Avec les couleurs répétés, j’aime l’essai même avant de lire le texte. Le fait que j’aime les photos visuellement me donne envie de lire le texte, qui donne un autre perspective sur l’Amérique.Matthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09705924484553162711noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-779964474397122560.post-91366815533669003132012-03-10T12:57:38.175-08:002012-03-10T12:57:38.175-08:00I agree with the earlier comments that this is a f...I agree with the earlier comments that this is a fantastic project. It images have a very modern Americana feel to them. Your sequencing is great. Image one provokes a kind of revolutionary mood with the warn wall and the communist-esque star and arrow. The final image follows along the same vein with the graffiti on the public mail box. Very well done both on the technical front and with the theme of the essay, I really enjoyed it.Chris Crabbhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15346912740912861284noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-779964474397122560.post-56562633565316334482012-03-08T09:31:22.390-08:002012-03-08T09:31:22.390-08:00I hate to be repetitive but I like the theme of th...I hate to be repetitive but I like the theme of this essay. It reminds me of both Robert Frank and Eggleston. Eggleston because of the strong colors in most of your pictures and Robert Frank because of the ironies made on American liberty. Very nicely done.Roseshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06439828882386296983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-779964474397122560.post-17499667308413750682012-03-06T16:19:05.484-08:002012-03-06T16:19:05.484-08:00I really like what you did hear, and i think you a...I really like what you did hear, and i think you a really strong essay as a whole - the theme flows nicely throughout. I like how you mixed influence from Frank and Eggleston, an interesting combo but I can see them both present in your work. I agree with Alyssa that your essay makes a nice commentary on our nation - how the star seems like a crumbling flag and the freedom blvd. is contrasted with a no parking sign, it seems to capture the contrast between the liberties America offers and the rules the government sets. These colors are repetative throughout the essay which is interesting as well. For me, the first two are the strongest photos.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17836316077124080646noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-779964474397122560.post-63134122099207058232012-03-04T11:16:14.727-08:002012-03-04T11:16:14.727-08:00The colors of these photographs are perfect, espec...The colors of these photographs are perfect, especially the one of the boat. It evokes that kind of old-timey feeling of the America that's disappearing. I think a couple of the photos could be straightened out a little bit, like the boat and the field welding sign, but overall the lines and composition are strong. The photo of the star and arrow is my favorite- the way it's falling apart makes it seem like a commentary on the fate of the nation or the era of the communism threat.alyssahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11954464695223754452noreply@blogger.com
