This theme is really interesting. I especially like photo number two. The repetition of figures is intriguing and the two left feet that are both in the air is kind of humorous. The baby that is walking in the footsteps of his elders is also something that is meaningful in the church context.
ReplyDeleteI truly LOVE your photos. The first one hit me so much that I have randomly thought about it throughout the week! I am not sure why, perhaps these images ring close to the heart with their familiarity. I almost feel like I am in the photo because I have been there so many times before!
ReplyDeleteFirstly, I liked how even using vertical and horizontal pictures, you arranged them in an easy to follow pattern. That allows the switch from photo to photo to work. I like the lines on the coat rack, and how they lead to the people walking. I think the first picture captures the single’s ward scene quite well, and I like the movement in the second photo.
ReplyDeleteI don’t quite get how the “CIA” caption fits; I think I would have liked the captions tie the different pictures together.
All in all I think you made the utilitarian architecture of recently built chapels artistic, even the metal chairs, and that should be commended.
I feel you not only did a great job in actually capturing what a day at church is like, but your composition was great. My favorite has to be the one of the child climbing after its mother, or another woman. This is so typical to be in the foyer with a wandering toddler. Also, I loved the photo of the blackboard with the empty chairs. It provided a nice open layout and left the emphasis on the actual structure of the room rather than the people that would have been in it.
