The New Topographics exhibit explored the relationship between man and his environment. But what about the environment that man creates for himself?
Neighborhoods have personalities. All of the houses are typically about the same age, same size, and are built in a similar style. However, each house is slightly different, reflecting the tastes of the people who live in them.
These pictures were all taken in the same Provo neighborhood. The mid-century modern style brings them all together, but they still have a distinct personality of their own.
But what happens as time passes and new homes replace the older ones? How does it change the community?
