For this project I knew for sure that I wanted to do street photography. I thought it would be fascinating to go out and photograph people interacting on the streets. I felt the best way to capture Utah streets was by going to Salt Lake City since it is the most "city-like" place around, and the diversity seen there would make the whole experience a lot more interesting.
In theory this is a good idea. I don't see how photo 2 fits in. The last one in my opinion embodies the idea of the post.
ReplyDeleteGreat look at Salt Lake. It makes me look at the city in a different way! Great job!
ReplyDeleteyou captured the "decicive moment" well in some of these pictures
ReplyDeleteyou are much braver than I am... I went to salt lake to take pictures once... I like yours better. :) I think the angle on the last picture makes it my favorite.
ReplyDeleteI like the way the city is rendered as not too abstract, but an element of the lives of all these people.
ReplyDeletei love the shot with the woman laughing. this is why we do street photography - to capture the person in a single shot. the laugh gives us a much better idea of who she is than her outfit does.
ReplyDeleteI echo beau's comment. The lines of the elevators give the shot an amazing perspective too.
ReplyDeleteNice essay. I feel like some of the photos really capture a great moment. Others are a little more static, but overall it is a nice makeup of people and landscape.
ReplyDeleteYou caught some awesome facial expressions.
ReplyDeleteI love all the color in these photos. Cities are meant to be vibrant and you captured it.
ReplyDeleteI'll agree with Ben that I feel photo 2 is less interesting, probably because it doesn't have people in it. The second to last is my favorite, expressly for the human interest.
