For this project I decided to go around with a full length mirror and photograph my head with other people's bodies. This was a transcendental experience to see other people from their perspective, to be in 'their shoes', to imagine their life...
What is it like to be pregnant, to have someone living inside you and not be schizophrenic?
What is it like to be buff, to have people ooh and aah over your body?
haha. This is fun. Cool visual effect of the lines from the mirror.
ReplyDeleteLove it...especially the "simply stunning" pose! Who's the buff guy?
ReplyDeleteThis is really great. Great idea. Great photo graphs. Are the female pictures allowed at BYU? :) kidding. good work!
ReplyDeleteI really like your use of black and white here. It just seems more fitting. Conceptually the idea is great and the mirror makes clean lines across you as the canvas. Good work!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love this idea and your execution of the idea. I love your constant expression. I love the cohesive style. Everything about this just... works for me.
ReplyDeleteThis was a great idea, Ben. the concept and the photos work really well together, and I love how simple is all is. Black and white really helped your message by keeping it really simple.
ReplyDeleteBen, all I can say is that one day I hope to have a spark of the fire of creativity that burns inside you. This essay has changed my life - thank you.
ReplyDeleteYour deadpan expression provides the perfect foil to the rather provocative poses. Your non-reaction itself defines the photos. Excellent contrast.
ReplyDeleteUmm, awesome. I appreciate the humor, especially the decidedly non-francophile humor. I also thought this was a really great concept.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a great idea. My favorite picture is the last one where you are "simply stunning".
ReplyDeleteThis is so funny! A truly great idea. I love the concept, very creative.
ReplyDeleteThe last one is definitely my favorite!! so funny.
