I was born a rich white child.

My parents are wealthy but I’m married and in college, therefore quite poor, so my project is about a wealthier interaction with nature - my parent’s neighborhood and the things they own.

Everyone is interested in different things - RVs, guns, really tiny porcelain boxes, first edition books, barbecues, TVs, art, Nascar etc. But when rich people spend, they really spend.

This project shows the odd, the extravagant, and the beautiful of a wealthy neighborhood.

  2. Visually, the last two shots are my favorites. The color is great as well as the composition. Otherwise, the angel holding the meds is very amusing...and somewhat cynical.

  3. I loved the text and theme at the beginning (the first picture is amazing) but then you lost me. I couldn't figure out what you were trying to say through your photos.

  5. I like that you photographed different aspects of wealthy society not just their large homes. It is humorous and revealing look at
    "rich" culture.

  7. great job Cassandra, I think you did a good job walking the line between poking fun and simply showing a fun perspective of something most of us aren't that familiar with.

  8. Yeah, that cherub photo seems really sarcastic, but in a good and playful way.

  10. Excellent idea. I like the text with the photos. Perhaps, to more fully portray your message you could have even scanned and used some photos which were truly from your childhood. Number 1 tells the story the best.
