Does life imitate art or does art imitate life: the age-old aesthetic debate. So far as our interaction with our landscape can tell us, life imitates art. We tear down our reality to construct an ideology. Our homes are not a reflection of nature; they are declaration of an aesthetic. In our world we have words like arboretum, botanic gardens, and landscap-ers. This is how we interact with our landscape.

This is our new topography.

"It was one of those perfect spring days that occur more frequently in memory than in life."

  1. I really likes the high contrast style of most of the pictures. Unique and visually powerful.

  2. I like the concept. It really ties the images together. The high contrast works because it shows the similarity in all of the photos.

  3. I like the black and white, I just wish there were more pictures.
